The goal of this 6-week program is simple: build STRENGTH and improve MOBILITY. We are trying to get into better positions, run faster, run longer, feel
better, and create an overall stronger runner.
When it comes to resistance training, runners have a tendency to only focus on running, and neglect any form of strength work. Maybe it’s because of the false
misconception that they will get big and tight and slow, maybe it’s because there are only so many hours in the week to train. Whatever the reason, if you have not
been strength training, or you have not followed a dedicated program to complement your running, I guarantee you are not living up to your potential
performance wise, and you are increasing your chance of injury.
This 2-day per week strength training program WILL improve your running. No question about it.
